I was hoping this product would actually be "RTA" as advertised, but the amount of extra labour necessary to assemble it was astonishing! Especially considering it comes with NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS. If you want those you have to go to the website and order them... The holes were misaligned and shallow, requiring a power drill to even begin assembly. The drawers were flimsy and the bottoms slid out of them every time you closed it. Good luck returning it too, I've been trying for the last three weeks. It seems UPS only wanted to take the main box with the headboard and other chipped plywood and leave me with the drawers, rails, and slats. It was shipped by Amazon (the returns center, I believe *ahem*), but I am very disappointed with this product and the way it was handled. I wish I could rate it lower than 1 star, epic fail.

Solid Copper Lid for 24" Fire Pit Review

I have searched for a solid lid for mypatio fire bowl for months...they are hard to come by and usually pricey too.This lid is a bargain for the money!It is solid brass and fits nicely on a 24" bowl.It will not keep rain from accumulating in the bowl, but it will snuff out a fire and gives the bowl a nice look when not in use.

The only complaint I have is the handle--though I guess some folks might think it is cute--it is a bird.I have nothing against birds, but it doesn't want to tighten down completely so it stays loose.It does still function as a handle for lifting the lid...but it is loose.

All in all, YES, I am satisfied to have finally found a nice lid for my brass fire bowl!

Found this and ordered before the holidays. Shipping was noted to be in mid January! It arrived Christmas eve! YAY! It was a Christmas present for me so I was happy it showed up. It was not too difficult to put together as my 6 year old helped his Dad and if it had been difficult Dad would not have wanted help. They had it together quite quickly. I am happy with the quality as the price was lower than on a few other sites I had seen so overall I recommend it!

I first saw a table like this one in Target and loved it but had no use for it at that time.I am now moving and had gotten rid of my old end tables and immediately thought of the mirrored table in Target.I decided to hunt on Amazon first and came upon this one.I ordered two as end tables and I absolutely LOVE them.They look exactly as pictured.They are a perfect height for a sofa...but honestly they'd be perfect as a nightstand too they literally go with everything and give an instant update to your room.Buy this table you will not regret it.It was a breeze to put together, you simply screw the legs into the table, two screws per leg, took me all of 5 minutes tops.

After reading all the reviews on sweepers, I was about to despair when I found this one-I actually ordered it on ebay as it was cheaper. I'm telling you, this thing works. It is sturdy-the handle screws together and is made of steel, not tin; the brush picks up dust bunnies, cat hair and cat litter, leaves, you-name-it on hardwood floors! Great product in between vacuumings. I didn't try it on carpets as that isn't our problems here, tracked in junk on hardwood is. And it easy to empty and comes with a brush to clean the roller. Simple to assemble. Quality is still possible!

Three weeks after I ordered this lamp, it arrived at my house with the glass shade broken. After talking to three different people on the invoice, they agreed to send me a replacement shade. Two weeks later that arrived--broken! I took a picture, and they agreed to send me another one. That one arrived intact (again, two weeks later), but it is almost impossible to get a new shade on, as you have to flex the metal without breaking the glass. As I was trying to perform this task, under the pressure of the metal, the glass shade BROKE! They can keep their money-- I'm not wasting any more time with them.

Easy to assemble. Seems solid, sturdy. Rolls easily, quietly.
Looks like good value. Only negative criticism might be that the fabric of the liners should be of sturdier material - a better canvas - and the liners should be easier to remove for washing them; however, I probably won't be washing the liners very often because the fabric is not sturdy enough to take a lot of washing. Overall, a decent product with a reasonable price. It was shipped promptly by the company as well. Satisfactory purchase.

This sand set is really cute, but it's really hard to use! The cookie cutters are open on the top, so you have to shake the sand off around them without turning them over like a normal sand mold. It is nearly impossible to pick the cookies up (in the mold or out) with the spatula without messing them up. The bag also does not hold all of the pieces. It's a cute idea but not very practical for any young child -- or adult in my case!

I bought this for my 18 month old daughter. She is able to get in and out of the chairs all by herself and loves sitting at the table and coloring. The chairs are very sturdy - enough for an adult to sit on - and the table cleans really easily. A Mr. Clean magic eraser wipes crayons off the table top without much effort. This was well worth the money and I think we will have it for years to come.

Platform Bed - Black Review

Received item as a gift, Looked wonderful in the ads and I was looking forward to getting it. Putting it together it seemed to be VERY flimsy all screws and douding rods put in secure and it stil wobbled. top wood sheets did not fit right and were uneven. After spending 2 hours getting it all put together, I went to gently lift it to move it to where I wanted it and the wood sheets on top just popped right up, the screws did nothing to hold it in place, Carefully tried to move it and within minutes the platform bed fell apart the wood around the screws just crumbled.
I do NOT recommend this bed.. Someone could easily get hurt with this poorly made piece of junk!

Really have no idea how nice this bed would be in person as they never shipped. Ordered in mid Nov and they sent me an email a few days later saying it was backordered till Dec 16th. Fine, we were going to wait. The 16th came and went without a word so I called a few days later and was told (after I called them!) that it had been pushed back again till Jan 18th. Well, not very good for a Christmas present and not happy that they were not going to notify us, so we cancelled. Customer Service was very nice and helpful and we did get our refund within the time frame. Would've rather had the beds though.

This is a complete kit. Everything you need will be in the carton, but there are no labels on the parts. You need to carefully identify all the pieces before you begin. The instructions could be a lot clearer, but after putting it together & taking it apart at least twice, I feel comfortable in saying that it should take less than a half hour. The finished product is beautiful and I would recommend this to anyone needing a high class wall mounted CD/DVD storage unit.

Kidkraft Nantucket Table and Chair Set Review

Like the other two reviewers, I loved this table and chairs when it first arrived. It is so lovely, with the cute pastel chairs. Unfortunately, after 6 months it's not so lovely anymore because the paint is chipping off all the edges. I'm very sad because what did look like a charming table and chair set for a reasonable price now looks tattered after half a year. Compare that to the pine set from IKEA that we've had 3 years that still looks brand new for a third of the price. If you do decide to buy this set, I would recommend applying a protective coat of polyurethane or similar to minimize paint chipping. Also, my husband used an electric screwdriver to assemble the set and the chair backs split in several places when the screws went in because of cheap wood. I would recommend using a hand tool and a light touch. I can't say I wouldn't recommend the set but I would recommend taking the above steps to avoid trouble ahead. It is super cute and the kids love having the four chairs for more kids, dolls, imaginary friends, etc.

I bought this as a theft deterrent.Well after looking at it and reading online, I discovered it can be opened WITHOUT tools in less than 5 seconds.That's anti theft?I modified mine for mounting before realizing this, so no returns.I wasn't going to tell without having a solution, maybe Sentry will change the design.Take your fist and hit the front door strongly above the knob at a 45 degree angle downward, at the same time turning the knob.Open in less time than to enter to code.Pityfull!

I fixed it by glueing a 3/4 inch round magnet on the lock bar just above the electric solenoid, half off over the bar to the solenoid.You may have to try different magnets to get the right strength, but the first one I tried worked, so maybe not so critical.The magnet keeps the solenoid bar from falling so easily.But, a large hammer may still be a problem, didn't try.

Timbro Expanding Rack Review

This coat rack was a great quick fix for my apartment. Usually our sweatshirts and coats were laying all over the furniture. This rack was affordable and it looks great. When i opened the package i was surprised how nicely constructed it was. The wood looks great and the rungs are very secure.
However I was skeptical because the only things to mount it were two metal casings attached to the back (It was very easy to mount on the wall). When i put the first sweatshirt on it, the rack was shaky when i removed the coat from the rack. (This may be a problem with my wall. When i put the screws into the wall to mount the rack, i found out it was hollow. Therefore my screws would not go fully into the wall and they were not too secure).Although, the more coats i put on it the sturdier it became from the weight. Because of my wall problem i have to keep some extra sweatshirts on the bottom rungs to keep it from moving when i take others off.As of now it work nicely.
I also put the rack at an angle, diagonally, to allow the coats to hang properly rather than on top of each other. Also so any kids could reach the lower side. I'm sure it would work great if it was mounted straight.
I dont know if i wold recommend this for a lot of heavy winter coats...ive never tried it.I do keep one ski jacket hanging on mine for when its very cold out.

i bought this pool cover for my intex rectangular party pool (120x72x22"). i was worried it wouldn't fit because my pool has headrests that stick up on each end; however, it fit great. BUT the first night we put the cover on, it rained. the rain puddled in the middle of the cover, and the weight of the water warped the pool on one side. after we drained the pool, the pool went back to normal. but the whole reason we bought the pool cover was so that we wouldn't have to keep draining and filling the pool. so anyway, i don't think there's anything wrong with this particular pool cover. i'm just not sure a pool cover for an inflatable pool makes sense. i guess it could work if you found something to prop it up in the middle so that the water didn't puddle.

I couldn't wait to see if this table would look as nice as it does in the photo...and it does. It looks lovely. I ordered it on Monday, it was shipped on Wednesday and I received it on Thursday. We are using it for our television console. Less expensive than stands marketed as flat tv console.

We bought other Home Star Madison coordinating peices for table lamp andtable to go between two club chairs. We are waiting for them to arrive. If the other peices look like the Drum Table, then I will be most satisfied. I am so happy with my choice.If this finish will work with your decor, then you'll like this collection as well. I am impressed.

We did extensive research on the internet and at local retail outlets, and the Iris Multi-Media Box was the absolute best choice for storing all our "stuff".The ability to create tailored compartments within each box was very helpful.

I would rate these at 5 stars, except for the price per box when considering we used 12 of these by the time we were done.And though Amazon offered the best buy at the time, prices vary so check around with other internet/mail order retailers first.

We got the product in black.It looks good, and has lots of storage.The top is a nice size for our 40" LCD TV and two black speakers.We chose not to use the legs, and think the unit looks fine just sitting on the carpet.

I am not at all handy, but assembly was straightforward.All parts and hardware matched up very well.It took me three or four hours to assemble, and I was able to do it alone.I would give the product 5 stars except for the following:
1.Prepac shorted me one small part, which was annoying.They sent it via UPS, which took about a week.Fortunately, I was able to add the part after final assembly.
2.The instructions were OK. but were a bit brief and general for someone inept (like me) who is used to seeing more detail, with cabinet parts labeled A, B, C, ... etc.
3.I found the magnetic catches to be somewhat weak for fully-loaded doors, and replaced them with a pair of catches with heavy-duty magnets.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a stunning piece of fine furniture, you should pay more and look elsewhere.If you want an inexpensive, decent-looking, functional stand for your LCD or plasma TV, I would recommend the Prepac PS-6000.

Prepac 5-drawer Dresser - Oak - ! Review

I bought this dresser for my 6 year old daughter. This dresser was very easy to build. (Of course I am a carpenter.) It took about a half an hour. Everything lined up great. All the drawer fronts are lined up perfectly. Be careful not to tap in the brown screw covers crooked, they will crack and are hard to get out. I had an extra one to replace the one I let my daughter pound in. The most common complaints I read on reviews is of drawer bottoms falling out when they are filled up. A real easy way to stiffen the drawer bottoms would be to put a bead of wood glue around the bottom perimeter after they are assembled. Lay them flat upside down til they dry. I do this on all my RTA furniture with any drawers. Very nice dresser. I'm happy with my purchase.

I bought this headboard because I have limited space in my bedroom.It was very easy to put together with a partner and looks great; I have gotten a lot of compliments from friends and family.Three things to note: be careful when placing screws in top piece as they will go through and you'll end up with ugly bumps in the finish; there are no holes cut for electrical cords so you'll have to cut your own; and you need to have the screws that came with your bedframe to attach the headboard (no hardware is provided for this).Otherwise, its a nice piece of furniture and I'm very glad I bought it.

I've had one of these little fryer appliances since they first became popular in the seventies.The current model is the second one I've had, being larger than the original model that came out.
For someone not needing to fry enormous amounts at one time, this little machine is ideal.It requires only a very small amount of vegetable oil.I've used it to fry chicken wings, quickly, to do french fries and onion rings, to do other smaller chicken parts, and it works beautifully.There is no thermostat; you just plug it in, wait 10 minutes, and the temp is 375.Having such a small amount of grease, it recovers heat more quickly than an electric skillet.
When you are through, if you plan to reuse the grease you can simply let the machine cool, snap the plastic top on, the put the whole thing in the fridge.I don't fry that often, and when I do, I tend to fry a lot, so usually I just discard the oil.Such a small amount is used (usually no more than 3 cups starting out) that I don't feel bad about discarding the oil.
The sides on this appliance are quite high, and splatter around the machine has never been a problem.I used common sense, though, when I fry, whether it's here or on the stove.
I'm sure the all-enclosed auto-fryers that are out on the market are nice, and if I fried a lot I'd probably get one.However, I only fry once or twice a month, and for that, this little machine is perfect.I'd recommend one to anyone--durable, simple, and does exactly what it's designed for!

I bought this cause my CDs were outta control. The black finish matches my WT speaker stands, which have held up through parties etc. If I clean them they still look brand new. Upon assembly I was happy cause all my CDs fit with room for about 10 more. It looked a little small sitting on the floor, so I mounted it to the side of my living room wall. The glass shelves are very nice with the exception that each has a little sticker which takes time to remove. The good part is it dont look like some cheap walmart particle board contraption. All of this complements my WTMGV-3 stand which is the best thing I ever bought.

The safe had clearly been packaged with damage(box and padding were not marred--so damage likely occurred at factory before it was boxed). I am unsure of the inegrity of the safe's 'fire proofing' given loose door and deep dents to corners. No response to my inquiries about the effects of this damage on fire resistance. It is a heavy item that will be expensive and time consuming to have replaced--and the replacement might well arrive in the same condition.Buy locally, rather than via internet, to avoid these problems.

I got this assembled and the drawers came nowhere close to fitting properly, even though I had assembled the body of the chest correctly. It was wobbly and not at all stable. I understand that this is more than likely a mass produced piece of furniture, but put some pride in the products you sell.

I've had this retractable clothesline for about a year or so.It's not hard to install:you screw it into a handy wall or fence post.Make sure that it's tightly fixed into something sturdy.Then you need to install a hook for the other end of the line, which can be any sort of sturdy cup hook.The flimsy decorative one that I started with (it was already installed and had been used to corral a line of Christmas lights) did not work.

When you want to hang something outside, you pull the plastic D-ring out of the spool, walk it over to your hook, and then go back to the spool and loop a little extra cord around a saucer-shaped stopper on the bottom.That loop (which I prefer to pull very tight) holds the cord in place.If you don't do that, then the first thing you put on the line will make more cord come out of the spool until everything's on the ground. When you're done, just unwind the loop and unhook the end.The line will automatically retract.

This device is useful for any length of space up to about 40 feet.I'm currently using mine in a sort of zig-zag pattern so that the line makes three trips across a space that's about thirteen feet long (using a total of three hooks).The advantage to this is that I can use a relatively long and narrow bit of my deck to hang up the laundry and still get quite a bit of line space, since it uses all of the available line.Forty feet will hang a total of twenty T-shirts or pairs of jeans.

The only thing that I dislike about this is the material that the actual line is made from.After enough use, it tends to stretch a bit, and it's really hard to keep it from sagging.I think that my next clothesline will use proper vinyl-coated, wire-reinforced clothesline, just like Mama had.

I bought this 5 drawer chest and a matching night table.It seemed like a lot of parts to put together but once I focused it took about 2 hours to assemble the chest then just 20 minutes to assemble the night stand as we then knew what we were doing. The knobs are solid and aside for the assembly time the pieces look great in our Guest Bedroom. I plan to buy the matching bench for our entryway and another nightstand.

Yes, one could argue that this is more of a strong box than a safe.That being said, the unit is very sturdy and has the best build quality of anything that I've seen at this price point.The other safes I checked out looked at lot flimsier.

Sentry says that this is a 5 gun (rifle) case.However, if you happen to have larger scopes attached to your riles, that capacity is almost halved.In my case, it stores 3 scoped rifles nicely.

Shelf is also a tad too low for my 24" barreled rifle.This was solved with a quick modification.I hot glued 9" x 1.5" wood strips just above each of the original shelf rails.This gives me the increased shelf height and allows me to slide the shelf all the way to the back of the safe.Perfect!

This was a very time consuming project to assemble........blah. Not difficult to assemble, but very time consuming. It really does hold "tons" of "media", It has all kinds of room in it for cd, dvd's, games, and maybe game paddles, but b/c of the set up none of our game consoles would fit...leaving the issue of where to put them....If you put them on the top of the media cabinet then you can not access the open top (the only lockable section) without moving everything....so that is a bit of a pain. I gave it a 4 b/c I guess it did what it was suppose to and the quality is good, but not a 5 b/c I was hoping I could use it to store my ps2, ps3 , my wii, and possibly my cable box..........so long story short I put all my consoles ontop and don't use the top lock part. (one of the reasons I got it was for the lock...lol...figures.)

Homelegance Scottsdale 3-Piece Counter Table and Stools Review

I purchased the cherry wood colored set just last week.As an amazon prime member, the free shipping was great as shipping on other similar items w/o prime is $40-50.The package comes in one large box, with the items protected by styrofoam.Putting the table together was really easy with the tool that comes in the kit. Putting the two stools together was a little more complicated and required a screw driver and some arm work to drive the screws into the legs of the stool. Overall I got the whole thing set up in about 30-40 minutes.

The wood is a handsome deep cherry.The construction is solid and quite steady.The stools are sturdy as well and comfortable to sit on.The brown leather of the stool seats is quite soft and nicely textured.

Drawbacks to the table include that it isn't wide enough to fit two normally sized placemats across from each other.The short end of the table top is wide enough to fit a normal sized place mat but is uncomfortable for sitting at either end because of the bars which run vertically to support the table.

Overall this is a fantastic little table for a New York apartment. Definitely worth the $120 or so price tag.

"It is not small at all... this is the way beanbag chairs are designed. Also, the tag on the product clearly states that it's for "Ages 13 and up". I was 5'2" at thirteen.

I'm 5'6" now and still fit into this perfectly.

WOOD TECHNOLOGY MU-30 30" MU Series Metal Speaker Stands Review

These are the 3rd set of speaker stands I've owned and the best---really easy to assemble out of the box, looks great, and the adjustable spikes provide a very firm grip on your carpet, esp. if you have an uneven floor like mine in which case I just made a few of the spikes longer than the others.If you have tile or wooden floors, these also come with nice flat rubber feet you can use instead.

I was a little worried about how the MDF bottom was going to go with the metal legs but they are perfectly coordinated.

My only complaint: the holes in the one cylinder that is supposed to be used for cable management were too small, didn't fit my 11 gauge flat cables.

And here's a tip: instead of using the rubber squares that these stands come with, it's much better to use Blu-Tack to put your speakers on the top plate with.

These are also a great value for the eight two bucks I paid, including shipping.

Bath Magazine Rack and Tissue Stand - Bronze Review

There is a very tight space between the wall and the toilet and I just removed the older toilet paper roll holder and this fit well into the empty space between the two "prongs(?) on the wall. I replaced the old roll holder and it keeps this one from moving around. I wish I would've ordered two to begin with, now I have to pay shipping for a second one.

Doors are well supported, and assembly wasnt too difficult at all. Just make sure the spacing of the shelves is what you want before youput it together (We had to take it apart once because we were slightly off). Spacing is different for CDs and DVDs. Very Sturdy, was able to move it rightside up and downside up without worry of it falling apart. Very heavy though. Instructions easy to follow, many diagrams to help you along the way. Assembly took time, but it was definately worth the time. Beautiful cabinet. Looks to be something that will last a long time.

Perky Pet 203CP Pinch Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder, 8 oz capacity Review

The fact that this is one of the most popular hummingbird feeders on the market is mostly due to its wide availability, cheap price, and gaudy styling rather than its quality. I used these feeders for years before discovering better designs, and I came to hate them. The first thing I noticed was that they're hard to clean, with too many small parts and hard-to-reach tubes and crevices. It takes way too long to take the feeder apart, get all the parts clean, and reassemble it.

The next thing that became apparent is that the "bee guards" really don't do a very good job. Honeybees and wasps can't reach the solution through intact guards, but some long-tongued bumblebees can, and tiny bees just crawl right through the guards (and often right into the bottle!). They're also bright yellow, the same color as many bee-pollinated flowers (what was the manufacturer thinking?). The insects really swarm around when the solution oozes out, as it's prone to do on warm days (particularly if you refill the bottle with refrigerated solution).

It didn't take long to discover that this feeder is also not very durable. The plastic parts don't hold up to exposure to sunlight, becoming brittle and loose over time (more quickly in sunny or high-elevation areas, where intense UV light seems to deteriorate the plastic more quickly). The hardened glass bottle is actually the most durable part of this feeder, while the bee guards are the first parts to break down. The size is okay, though if you've only got one or two hummingbirds visiting you won't want to fill the feeder completely.

The best hummingbird feeders cost about twice as much as this model, but they will last at least 10 times as long. The feeders I use most now are the Hummzingers from Aspects and the Droll Yankees LF, both saucer-style feeders. For high-traffic times such as late summer, I switch to the Nature's Best bottle feeder. I never use anything in my feeders except the solution recommended by all hummingbird experts: sugar water made from 3 to 5 parts water to 1 part white table sugar (do not add food coloring!). This is much more economical and probably also healthier (and tastier) for the birds than overpriced chemical-laced commercial mixes such as Perky Pet's "Instant Nectar." The solution should be changed every 2 to 4 days and the feeder cleaned thoroughly at least once a week, no matter what kind of hummingbird feeder you use.

I've put together quite a few of these types of furniture (cam lock/fiberboard), and this ranks up near the top.The wood is well machined, none of my panels were broken and all fit well.Keep in mind that you should ALWAYS use wood glue when assembling stuff like this, and that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts when it comes to assembly.This piece has 3 cross memebers, a top, and a back that all work together to keep it sturdy.As to the comment that you shouldn't put something heavy on it, that's right.Use solid wood furniture for that, seriously.This is for the inside of a closet, and fits that purpose well.
